MMA Fitness Course - 1st May 2019 - Birmingham

This course will be held at: Fitness First Solihull, Ulleries Road, Solihull, B92 8DS

The date for this course is: Wednesday 1 May 2019, 10am-5pm

There will be practical aspects of this course so participants should be prepared for some physical activity.

The aim of this MMA fitness course is to provide a comprehensive overview for fitness professionals of the background and practical application of Combat Training for Fitness.

By the end of the course attendees should be able to:

  • Understand how MMA drills can be used to develop fitness in a non-combative environment
  • Demonstrate competent techniques for kicks, punching, elbow and knee strikes.
  • Demonstrate basic combinations and MMA conditioning drills
  • Safely and effectively use pads for basic MMA fitness training
  • Demonstrate competent ability to teach individual clients of a basic fitness level
  • Demonstrate competent ability to teach and train a group using basic fitness drills

Theory - Completion of theory assessment
Practical - Competent Demonstration of the exercises and coaching skills

Uses - Personal Training, Group Exercise

Outcomes - 8 REPs CPD Points for successful completion of the course.

Entry Requirements - To qualify for REPs CPD attendees should possess a Level 2 Gym Instructor or Studio Instructor Qualification minimum and a Valid REPs membership. This course is open to fitness enthusiasts not on the Register of Exercise Professionals, but certificates will not include REPs CPD Points.
